Dr Covaro attends an intensive monoportal endoscopy course in Qingdao (China)

Dr. Augusto Covaro recently traveled to Qingdao, China, to attend a practical hands-on course in monoportal endoscopy organized together with Beijing University and the company PRIM.

Over five days, the program included:

  • Live demonstrations of the single-incision technique.

  • Hands-on workshops for handling endoscopic instruments.

  • Theoretical sessions on protocols and clinical outcomes.

Monoportal endoscopy allows procedures to be performed through an entry point smaller than 1 cm, which often translates into less pain and a faster recovery, especially in cases of disc herniation and stenosis.

This experience reinforces our interest in incorporating minimally invasive techniques into the treatment of the spine and in keeping the team up to date with the latest developments in endoscopic surgery.
